 Dance  Investment

At CHS, we do our best to provide meaningful experiences to all of our dancers, through field trips to shows and classes, performance opportunities, and guest choreographers and teachers. By investing in dance education, you are investing in a program that builds confident, hard-working, and responsible citizens. We keep the costs down as much as possible to help our dancers to experience great things without breaking the bank.

 Dance  Class  Fees

Every dancer in a dance class at Combs High School has to pay a $30 class fee. This fee helps to cover the cost of venue rentals, costume purchases, guest choreographers, and other fees related to the dance concert and showcase. This fee is due on the first day of class as a registration fee and is the same in all arts classes at CHS.  You can pay the fee at the Combs High School Bookstore or online below.

 Dance  Club  Fees

Dance Club offers additional opportunities to participate in dance events throughout the school year, including the Homecoming Parade, the Dance Concert opening number, and master classes. Dance club members will receive a Dance Club T-Shirt for each concert they are in. The Dance Club has meetings weekly on Wednesday after school (TBD with the new schedule in 2020), and additional meetings may be scheduled prior to events, as needed. To join the CHS Dance Club, pay the $10 club fee at the bookstore and bring the receipt to class.

Rush Dance Co. Fees

The RUSH Dance Company members have many opportunities to participate in events, including conventions, festivals, and invitationals. Because of this, members of the RUSH Dance Company have a yearly RUSH Participation Fee as well as a $90 Activity Fee to cover the costs of the program. This fee is due on the first day of rehearsals, and can be paid at the Combs High School Bookstore or online below.

 Dance  Tour

Dancers in Advanced Dance (Dance 3) or in RUSH Dance Company (Dance 4) have the opportunity to travel every other year out of state to discover new and exciting opportunities in the world of dance. Dancers on Tour will take several dance and performance classes from top studios in the area and top teachers in the nation, attend Broadway shows or other professional dance performances, and explore the city they are touring.  This is an optional trip, but an amazing opportunity for all dancers attending. We have traveled to New York and Los Angeles. And parent chaperones are always welcome to attend as well! The cost of the trip depends on the location and length of trip, as well as the places we attend. Dancers can pay for the trip out of pocket, through funds raised, or through tax credits at the donation tab.
